Emergency Response

Whether responding to a marine oil spill off Canada’s West Coast, or auditing communications tactics for a provincial response organization, Ink’s founder Lianne works closely with emergency responders to ensure a strategic and transparent approach to communications—aligning expectations with media, delivering the facts straight to communities, and supporting affected citizens.
Exercises and Incidents

Lianne has led multi-agency communications teams to manage public perception and dispel misconceptions during emergency response incidents and full-scale exercises. She has trained in every role in the Joint Information Centre, including in some of the largest training exercises hosted to-date in Western Canada. She has also served as a communications evaluator as well as in the SIM cell.

Public Affairs

Ink aids response industry organizations and emergency planners in communicating with the public before, during and after an emergency occurs. Services include developing turn-key strategic communications policies, plans, materials, and messaging frameworks that support organizational preparedness and help achieve objectives at the outset of an incident.

Crisis Communications

Lianne delivers crisis communications counsel to Incident Command during response operations, with a focus on stakeholder relations and reputation management. She provides just-in-time media training for government and private-sector spokespersons in preparation for news conferences, media availabilities, town halls, and open houses held for impacted communities and the wider public.
